Really it feels like a bargain bin bootleg of a ghibli movie that had Lupin thrown in just to make it more marketable. There are almost no positives about this movie other than decent animation and the occasional good quip from the core 4 characters Zenigata, Lupin, Jigen, Goemon. Pretty ok Lupin. Great music and the villain was fun. The animation was meh with uninteresting visuals and direction. And oh boy it's a lot of fun and it gives Goemon another chance to shine.

Although I do wish they gave Inspector Zenigata more to do in this. As it is he just spends most of the special in a jail cell, a bit of a waste of a great character.
